I’ve been asked countless times which ingredients are the best for skin.

People always ask me to narrow it down to just a few ingredients, but you simply can't.

Skin is the body’s largest organ. It also is complex and intricate, and so requires far more than one or two great ingredients to thrive and look younger.

Your skin really needs three categories of ingredients everyday, regardless of your age or skin type. These categories are antioxidants, skin-replenishing ingredients, and skin-restoring ingredients. Each group includes dozens of ingredients that can provide amazing benefits.

But since I get asked so often, I'm going to give you my three favorite natural ingredients to help your skin look and feel better.

1) Vitamin C

This alone is such a powerful ingredient! As you age, your body makes less collagen and elastin, which keeps your skin strong, flexible, and resilient.

Using a product that contains vitamin C is extremely beneficial. Not only does it act as one of the world’s most powerful natural antioxidants, but it is also naturally anti-bacterial, aids in collagen production, helps to build the proteins that skin needs to regenerate, and stimulates blood flow. The plant produces two substances used for medicine: the gel found in the cells in the center of the leaf, and the latex that’s obtained from the cells just beneath the leaves’ skin. These can be used as a natural skin care remedy for burns, frostbite, psoriasis and cold sores.

It holds more than 75 potentially active ingredients including anti-inflammatories, vitamins, minerals, saccharides, amino acids, fatty acids, enzymes, lignin and salicylic acids.
